Qualifications: TRKI Test of Russian as a Foreign Language
Levels: Beginner, Elementary - Level A1, Pre-Intermediate - Level A2, Intermediate - Level B1, Upper Intermediate - Level B2, Advanced - Level C1, Proficient - Level C2
Students can provide proof of their acquired level of proficiency by taking a TORFL exam (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language), which is the standard national test of Russian as a foreign language, as certified by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The test is a requirement for university applicants and for
those hoping to work in certain professional realms. It is possible to take a TORFL test either in the Derzhavin Institute or in the testing center of the St Petersburg State University.
For students who wish to take the TORFL exam in our school it is compulsory to take an Exam Preparatory course.
The course consists of 4 weeks of the Standard group course + 3 first weeks of additional afternoon 10 per week Exam-preparatory classes. Those Exam-preparatory classes are specifically designed to cover the structure of the exam, the conditions under which the exam is taken, the most confusing and problematic points in Russian grammar, the vocabulary which will feature in the exam, listening comprehension, writing strategies, etc.
The exams are held every 4th week of the month. Exams are separately paid.
