Your teachers will monitor your progress to make sure that you are progressing at the correct rate. They will give you feedback and identify your strengths and weaknesses so you know which areas you need to improve. You will also be assessed on your performance through homework assignments. A personalised reading plan, tutorials and a study plan will allow you to be in control of your learning. Throughout the course your teachers will be working hard to keep you motivated and make sure that you have fun as you improve your English.
Being in an English-speaking environment for a long time improves your level. You will be speaking English inside and outside of your classroom. •You will need to be at the school by 8:45am on your first day for a short welcome tour of the school by one of the EC London team, who will briefly explain where to find academic and social information and show you the computer room, study room and cafe. A more detailed talk and orientation will be held after the placement test. Following the welcome talk you will sit a placement test commencing at 09:00. The placement test assesses your key skills in all aspects of English.
