Levels: Beginner, Elementary - Level A1, Pre-Intermediate - Level A2, Intermediate - Level B1, Upper Intermediate - Level B2, Advanced - Level C1, Proficient - Level C2
This is the Standard Course of 20 hours per week plus 2 additional group lessons every day (30 hours per week in total). In the extra lessons students focus on a particular area of Russian that has been identified as a student’s need: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, etc.
The Intensive Course caters to those whose goal is to make quick progress, especially students staying in Russia for a short period of time.

Derzhavin Institute provides a variety of Russian language programs in St. Petersburg: long-term and short-term Russian language courses, standard, intensive and individual instruction, and classes for foreign students of all language proficiency levels and backgrounds. Courses are run at all levels throughout the year. We are glad to meet all the students’ needs and learning objectives by combining our courses to create an individual program of study.

- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 18 years of age or over
Cancellation policy
- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- Enrolment fee is non-refundable.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
Refund policy
- Bookings may be cancelled up to 1 weeks prior to commencement of the course without penalty or fee.
- A cancellation fee of € 70 applies when a course is cancelled less than 1 week/s before the course commencement date.
Visa refusal
- In case a visa is refused to the student, the school will charge 70 Euro and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student upon receipt of an original VISA refusal letter.
Other terms
Booking Deadlines
For all short-term courses (up to 4 weeks) the booking deadline is 3 weeks before the course commencement.
For all long term courses (4 weeks +) Enrollment form should reach us 8 weeks prior to course commencement.
It is only upon this terms observation that the Institute can guarantee the visa support.
For students who have already got Russian visa and don’t require invitation letters from the Institute the booking deadline can be 1 week
