IELTS preparation in Bournemouth: 20 lessons of the Core Programme plus 8 lessons (6 hours) of the Options Programme, 28 lessons (21 hours) a week, Monday to Friday, for students at B1 to C1 level who need the exam for university or work. The 45-minute lessons are combined into two 90-minute sessions a day (about 09:00-12:30). The course focuses on exam technique, academic vocabulary and regular practice tests, with an IELTS coursebook and materials; the IELTS test is taken separately in Bournemouth or another centre (about GBP 215-250, not included) and the school helps with the online application. The Options Programme runs in the afternoon (about 13:30-15:00) and covers speaking, pronunciation and listening, reading, writing and vocabulary, Cambridge exam preparation or IELTS preparation; options are subject to availability. You can start on any Monday (or Tuesday when Monday is a public holiday). Elementary students are strongly advised to start on one of the preferred start dates, which include a town tour: 4 January, 1 February, 1 and 30 March, 26 April, 24 May, 21 and 28 June, 5, 12, 19 and 26 July, 2, 9, 16 and 23 August, 27 September, 25 October and 29 November 2027. The fees include the lessons, the coursebook and a notepad, a student ID card, one year of access to the Beet Online e-learning platform, tutorials with your teacher every 4 weeks, regular progress tests, a certificate with a progress summary and access to the free social programme (activities five evenings a week). The registration fee (GBP 122) is charged once and is not refundable. The weekly fee falls with the total length of the stay (1-4, 5-11, 12-21, 22-29, 30-39 and 40+ weeks) and the total shown is the weekly fee multiplied by the number of weeks. Courses of 22 weeks or more include a free one-way airport transfer from London Heathrow, Gatwick, Southampton or Bournemouth (other airports have a supplement). The school is closed on public holidays (26 and 29 March, 3 and 31 May and 30 August 2027), with no replacement lessons, and for two weeks from 20 December 2027.

Other terms
Payment terms (from the school, 2027): fees must be paid at least 30 days before the start of the course; if you enrol less than 30 days before, the total is payable immediately. Registration fee GBP 122 (not refundable). Government-sponsored students pay a deposit equal to the first 4 weeks of tuition plus the registration fee, refunded when the school receives the financial guarantee letter.
Cancellation, curtailment or postponement must be received in writing. The school makes no discretionary refunds (for example for illness or the death of a relative) and strongly advises travel insurance. Until further notice, if written proof of cancellation is received before the planned date of travel and is supported by reasonable verification of disruption to travel, the school refunds 100% of the fees paid, less the non-refundable registration fee and any irrecoverable costs (bank charges, examination fees). If your visa is refused, fees received are refunded once the school has seen the official refusal letter before the intended start date; the registration fee and irrecoverable expenses are not refundable. Courses are not transferable between students. A course can be postponed for up to one year for reasons outside your control. If you have enrolled through a third party, its terms apply.
Accommodation: all cancellations must be in writing. With at least one full week of notice for homestay, student house or apartment accommodation the school refunds the accommodation fees less irrecoverable expenses; with less notice one week is charged. Notice is effective from a Saturday only. The en-suite apartments are non-refundable and must be paid in full in advance. Refunds are returned to the original source of payment.
Public holidays: the school is closed and no replacement lessons are given. Maximum class size 14. Minimum age 16; students under 18 cannot stay in the student houses or apartments. Visas are the student responsibility: without the correct visa the school ends the course and does not refund tuition and registration fees.
