General English 36 lessons per week
Levels: Beginner, Elementary - Level A1, Pre-Intermediate - Level A2, Intermediate - Level B1, Upper Intermediate - Level B2
The Erasmus experience programme is offered over weekly, one term, two terms or over a whole academic year giving students the chance to experience the UK approach to teaching and learning. This programme will contain centred devised assessments including examinations. Reports will be sent to parents and/or schools. This could be a useful programme for those considering coming to the UK to study GCSEs, A levels or an Access programme. As an integral element of the programme students will attend daily language classes.
The programme is a subject based curriculum and is offered in three academic disciplines, viz:
Humanities (Business, Geography, History or Psychology)
Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
The Arts (Painting & drawing, photography, textiles and design)
Outside timetabled English classes there will be a programme of activities which may include sports, games, punting on Cambridge's river Cam, cultural visits and bowling. On the weekend full day excursions will be arranged. For example, visits to London, Oxford and Windsor Castle. (Note: the specific nature of the activities and excursions will vary according to the weather, time of year and length of visit.)
