DCE English Language School offers a variety of courses for adults. Our wide range of General English courses caters for English Language students of all levels. Quality English Language teaching, combined with small classes, guarantees results.
Students can enrol on long-term or short-term courses in General English at DCE English Language School, studying 15 hours per week, with an option to increase the hours for short-term intensive courses. Students can begin their course on any Monday of their choice. Course duration is between 1 week and 3 months for short-term, and between 25 to 52 weeks for long-term (non-visa-requiring students only - students who require a visa to study must take a 25-week course).
IELTS Exam Preparation:
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam, devised by the British Council and University of Cambridge, is a key exam for entry to degree courses in universities where the language of study will be English. The accepted band score for entrance to most universities is 6 and above. Our preparation course will enable students who have a minimum English language level of intermediate to achieve a firm grasp of the techniques required for the IELTS exam.
The English programme in preparation for the IELTS Examination is based on 25 weeks with five 3-hour lessons per week, from Monday to Friday, with a choice of morning or afternoon classes. This course will suit students of intermediate level and above who intend to sit the IELTS examination.
The IELTS examination tests students’ ability to communicate and function in an academic environment with listening, reading, writing and speaking sections.
