TANDEM Hamburg, founded in 1985, offers German language courses right in Hamburg's city centre, close to historic Speicherstadt and the new Harbour City. We run Standard and Intensive Courses as well as Evening Classes all year through, accompanied by a cultural programme and - a TANDEM partner exchange, a fantastic method to increase your skills. We are an accredited examination centre for both the TestDaF and the European language Certificates (TELC). Hamburg is great, you'll like it here!

We are happy to introduce you to TANDEM Hamburg, the international language school in the centre of Hamburg. Learn German and other foreign languages and meet people from (almost) all countries in the world here in our bright, modern classrooms. Our offer includes training in groups, single training and in-company courses. We offer small learning groups, modern and communication-oriented classes, and a friendly, open and inviting learning atmosphere.

- Bank charges are payable by students

Cancellation policy

- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- Accommodation booking fee is non-refundable.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.
- If a student is absent for one or more weeks at a time, arrangements can be made for the course duration to be extended at no extra cost.

Refund policy

- Bookings may be cancelled up to 6 weeks prior to commencement of the course without penalty or fee

Visa refusal

- In case a visa is refused to the student, the school will charge 150 Euro and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student upon receipt of an original VISA refusal letter.

Other terms

1. It is the student’s duty to pay the fees in time. For all classes all fees must be paid by the second course day. 2. For long-term courses (of 3 months or longer), payment in instalments may be arranged. 3. Course fees must be paid even if the student does not attend classes, attends irregularly or discontinues attendance. Cancellation must be made in writing. If the cancellation order arrives not under 6 weeks before the course is to start, a fee for administrative costs of EUR 50.00 applies
