L'Italiano Porticando, situated in a beautiful eighteenth century building in the historic city centre, the “Quadrilatero Romano”, near most important sightseeing destinations and cultural attractions, is a friendly school, teaching exclusively the Italian language and culture to foreigners. The student finds here an inviting and warm atmosphere allowing him to learn easily the Italian language and to get to know many aspects of daily life in Italy. The lessons are held by experienced mother-tongue teachers using the communicative teaching method and motivating the students to participate actively in their lessons and extra-curricular activities: In the afternoon the students have the possibility to join cooking lessons, to take part in wine tastings and in walks in the city centre practising outside the classroom what they have learned at school. The school offers many courses, from standard courses for groups, to small group courses, to tailored private lessons. These can be completed with many cultural courses on literature, art, cinema, architecture, Italian music and fashion, chocolate and wine tastings and cooking classes to improve the language and to enjoy life in Italy.

This was my second time at L'Italiano Porticando and I have to say that on both occasions the experience was wonderful. The staff are not only extremely professional but also really friendly, and my friends and I had great fun during the excellent classroom sessions and on the outings provided free on two afternoons. Turin is a beautiful, elegant and manageable city, with great shops, restaurants and historic sights. I can't recommend the school and the city highly enough.

Die Schule "l'Italiano Porticando" war für mich das Richtige. Einfach perfekt :-). Besonders die familiäre Atmosphäre, das Aufgehobensein, das sich Kümmern, die guten Unterlagen, der professionelle, abwechslungsreiche, amüsante Unterricht, die Ausflüge haben mir gefallen. Ich werde wieder kommen.
