María Eugenia Ureña, is our Intercultural Studies proffessor.
With more than 20 years of experience working with foreign people and after her training in Wheaton College in Illinois, USA, She is the main speaker for intercultural classes.
Objectives:
1. That students make conscious the uncoscious cultural process that make them behave and react they way they do.
2. To help foreigners understand why people in collectivist cultures act the way they do so their experience in Bolivia is more pleasant, educative and fulfilling.

When you come to a different country, you are immediately out of your comfort zone. This often creates fear or anxiety of what is new. Conexiones offers a safe place where you get a sense of belonging as soon as you arrive at the airport. We provide airport pick up, arrange all the accommodation with a Bolivian family or if you prefer offer recommendations on hostels and guesthouses. We offer a walking city tour highlighting banks, shopping close to the school and near your host family, and public transportation. We can help you buy a SIM card for your phone. Our schedule is flexible and we often organize trips or hikes close to Cochabamba and other places around Bolivia. You'll meet other international students who will share your interests, and you will quickly be involved in fun activities. We will be your family while you are in Cochabamba.
Terms & Conditions: Conexiones entre Mundos
- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 18 years of age or over
Cancellation policy
- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- No course changes will be allowed to make up for refunds in the case of course cancellations.
- Where a cancellation is received 1 days after enrolment there will be no refund.
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- Enrolment fee is non-refundable.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- Accommodation booking fee is non-refundable.
- No refund will be made for shortening the course duration after the payment.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.
- If a student is absent for one or more weeks at a time, arrangements can be made for the course duration to be extended at no extra cost.
Refund policy
- 1- No refunds whatsoever are given for cancellations.
Visa refusal
- 1- No refunds whatsoever are given for Visa refusal.
Other terms
1. All payments will be made before classes start and need to be made again at the beginning of each new month.
2. No monetary refunds will be made. However, if students need to delay classes in case of an emergency, they can re-schedule at a time suitable for both the school and the student.
3. Students are not allowed to date staff from Conexiones while they study with us.
