English for High School Preparation is a CRICOS registered course, which allows the student to attend on either a student visa or a tourist visa. This course prepares students to attend an Australian high school. The curriculum includes vocabulary for mathematics, science, and other subjects to be encountered in a high school course. AICOL is able to place students in either State or private high schools.

Our curriculum has been re-written to take account of modern resourcing, and developments in information technology such as coding and the emphasis on stem subjects.

We are planning 4 courses next year, 3 of 10 weeks’ duration and one of 11 weeks. Course start dates have been arranged to coordinate as closely as possible with the Queensland school year. The first course of 10 weeks will commence on 22 January. Important elements of our new course are as follow:
• 20 hours core class-time learning, including library time and sports time
• Plus 4 hours Coding sessions 14:30 to 15:30
• Tests and reports every 2 weeks
• Homework
• Option to join Young Learner or General English class while waiting for HSP course to commence
• Pre-intermediate English level prerequisite
• Suitable for ages 12-16 years - primary school preparation also available
• Tuition refunded for balance of course if student commences school early
• Quality AICOL homestay accommodation service with our own coordinator
• Guardianship provided without charge - conditions apply
