This course is ideal for you if you like to start learning or improve your Spanish together with other students in a group while still having enough leisure time for discovering the country or for just enjoying yourself.
Group Course Standard
Mini-groups (2-7 participants)
20 lessons per week 45 min each
Group courses begin every Monday. If Monday is a public holiday, lessons will start on the following Tuesday.
Group courses usually take place in the morning; if there are many different course levels at a time it might be necessary for group courses to be in the afternoon.
Course prices include: registration fee, study material, placement test, certificate of participation.
If there is only 1 student assigned for a group level, the school reserves the right to convert the group course into Private 1-on-1 tuition instead which will result in a 50% reduction of class time.
If there is an official holiday (see list Dates & Prices), IIC will offer for Spanish Group Courses an optional 2-hour “Spanish & Culture“-group class for compensation. Private Lessons will continue to be fully rescheduled.

Student information
Sosua lies on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. It is located between Puerto Plata and Cabarete; the International Airport of Puerto Plata which serves the entire area is only about a 10-minute drive away.
The small tourist town, home to 12,000 inhabitants, is known for its beautiful beaches and water sports facilities. They can be enjoyed all year round due to temperatures of 90°F (32°C) in the summer months and 80°F (27°C) in winter.

- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 16 years of age or over
Cancellation policy
- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- No refund will be made for shortening the course duration after the payment.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.
- If a student is absent for one or more weeks at a time, arrangements can be made for the course duration to be extended at no extra cost.
Visa refusal
- 1- No refunds whatsoever are given for Visa refusal.
Other terms
Depending on the day of receipt the IIC charges the following cancellation fees which apply to the complete price:
21 or more days prior to program starting date: 10 %
between 20 to 14 days prior to the course starting date: 20 %
between 13 to 7 days prior to the course starting date: 30 %
within the last 6 days prior to the course starting date and
in the case of ‘no show’: 40%
