Levels: Beginner, Elementary - Level A1, Pre-Intermediate - Level A2, Intermediate - Level B1, Upper Intermediate - Level B2, Advanced - Level C1
Price per student, groups of up to 6 juniors (most popular age 12-14; many return 3 or 4 times). Juniors live in the house with the teachers, who act in loco parentis and are with them at all times in and out of lessons (the village is rural, so they never go anywhere alone). Afternoon and evening programme: visits (York, Newcastle, castles and historic houses), sports (tennis court, bikes and helmets provided, golf on request), cinema, cooking and village events. Mostly July and August, also half terms and Easter. Fully residential and all inclusive: you live at Fleetham Lodge, a country house in Kirkby Fleetham (North Yorkshire, about 40 miles north of York, 15 minutes from Northallerton) with the teachers and the family who run the school. The price covers the course, your own room, all meals (the whole house eats together, cooked fresh with produce from their own kitchen garden), books and materials, afternoon and evening visits and activities (historic houses, gardens, towns such as York or Durham, local events), and transfers from Newcastle, Leeds Bradford and Teesside airports and Darlington or Northallerton stations (Manchester Airport: GBP 250 per pick-up). Lessons are in the morning (about 9:30-13:00) in a dedicated classroom. Courses run all year round, subject to availability.
