General English at Native English College develops speaking, listening, reading and writing together with accurate grammar, vocabulary and native-like pronunciation (students learn the International Phonetic Alphabet). Four levels: Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper Intermediate (about 12 weeks each); new students take a placement test, except complete beginners, who enter Elementary. 20 hours a week of face-to-face classes with native English-speaking teachers, an Oxford University Press core textbook, daily homework and weekly tests. Average 12 students per class, maximum 18. Start any Monday, except during the school's summer and winter breaks. Students can move up a level in any week when they are ready. From 30 November 2026 classes run in the evening only, Monday to Friday, 17:00-21:15 (before that date there is also a day timetable, Monday to Thursday, 8:45-14:30). Prices include the school's 11+1 promotion: for every 12 weeks booked, one week is free (12 weeks = 11 paid, 24 = 22, 36 = 33, 48 = 44), so the best value is at 36 and 48 weeks. Enrolment fee AUD 200 (new students). Course materials AUD 10 per week (minimum AUD 70, maximum AUD 300), paid to the school.
