NLSEnglish General English courses are designed according to the highest standards and suitable for those who wish to improve their ability to communicate effectively in real-life situations in English.

Our available levels are Elementary (A1/A1+), Pre-Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper-Intermediate (B2) & Advanced (C1).

Our teachers use current developments in English language teaching, implementing a variety of activities to develop students’ confidence and use of all four skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

The main focus of the courses is to engage students in conversations using real-life vocabulary and structures.

Students can also select a course of a certain length depending on their needs. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced language user, we will always find the most suitable class for you.

You will experience a friendly, vibrant atmosphere for studying with international students of the same level. Our teachers will engage you in participation and communication with your classmates, and of course English is the only language to be used in the class!

Part-Time General English courses

The timetable is customised, i.e. varies depending on students’ time preferences.
3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays). 2 lessons a day. Each lesson is 1 hour /6 hrs per week.

• Hampstead and within a three minute walk from Finchley Road underground station. We are also within a three minute walk from Finchley Road and Frognal Overground station as well as being situated on several bus routes. The area is full of students of all nationalities. The fabulous Regent’s park is close to our school as well as Hampstead Heath and Hampstead Village. Our students can also enjoy numerous restaurants, cafés and pubs around the school. Besides, they may also benefit from the nearby parks and the Swiss Cottage Library and Leisure and O2 center.

Terms & Conditions: North London School of English

- Services must be paid in full 14 days before the course starts in order to complete the enrolment and secure a place in the course and/or accommodation.
- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 16 years of age or over

Cancellation policy

- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- No course changes will be allowed to make up for refunds in the case of course cancellations.
- Where a cancellation is received 1 days after enrolment there will be no refund.
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- Accommodation booking fee is non-refundable.
- No refund will be made for shortening the course duration after the payment.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.

Refund policy

- Bookings may be cancelled up to 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course without penalty or fee.
- If a course is cancelled between 27 and 7 days before course start: 25% refund
- If a course is cancelled between 7 and 2 days before course start: 50% refund
- If a course is cancelled less than 2 days before the start date full price will be charged.

Visa refusal

- 1- No refunds whatsoever are given for Visa refusal.

Other terms

The maximum size of group classes is 10 people.
Students cannot reschedule, cancel or request a make up for missed sessions of group courses.
Students enrolled in one-to-one lesson are permitted to cancel or reschedule 3 lessons every 15 hours. Students must notify the school in writing by the close of business day 2 day before the scheduled lessons.
Make up lessons must be scheduled within 14 working days of the original lesson date.
