If you are 50 years of age or older and you are asking yourself if a study vacation is right for you, the answer is definitely yes! Although you might imagine feeling out of place in a school with an average age of 28, the truth is that we always host many older students who immensely enjoy their stay and the company of other like minded people from all over the world. If you're over 50, have an active lifestyle and you wish to visit our country, meet the people and live the fabulous Italian lifestyle, then this is the right course for you. We keep the number of classmates low, usually no more than 5-6 participants, and we aim to have all students in a class over 50. The program is focused more on conversation rather than grammar. We encourage students to choose the topics of study and discussion and to offer suggestions and requests during class.
The price for the Senior 50+ course includes: 2 weeks of 20 Italian lessons each, from Monday to Friday from 9.00 AM to 12.40 PM of the appropriate level, 3 guided excursions in the wonderful Ligurian backcountry, 2 afternoons of cooking course from 4.00 PM until 8.00 PM learning how to prepare Ligurian dishes and 1 wine tasting session!
The Senior 50+ students, like other participants, can choose among different accommodations, suited for all needs. You can choose from:

Either single as well as double rooms are available. Upon request, OMNILINGUA can organize the accommodation for relatives and friends which are not attending the Italian classes.

•The main goal for our students is to teach them how to speak in a confident and fluent way. From the first day, the lessons are held exclusively in Italian, focusing especially on conversation. To guarantee the active participation in conversation, we maintain small classes with an average of 5
•6 students and up to a maximum of 9. Other than the text books, the didactic material includes news articles, editorial products, CDs, literary texts, poems, songs, videos and TV. Teachers choose interesting and current topics to give the students an understanding of Italian contemporary culture, society and lifestyle. Furthermore, a direct approach with the language is part of the program. This means mixing among the people, visit the market, the library, the shops, the casino, etc. to obtain information for projects to complete in class. This also offers the chance to put into practice, in a live setting, what they've learned in class. At the end of this full immersion, the school makes sure that the participants have a chance to fully comprehend the Italian grammar as a solid base for both the written as well as spoken language. OMNILINGUA constantly researches and updates new and innovative teaching methods in the didactic program to assure its students to receive the best language education possible.
