This "total immersion" English language holiday in Malta package is designed to help you improve your English for your job or to help you have better employment prospects. Malta is an English speaking country and you will live with an English speaking host family who will cook your meals. Your lessons at Alpha School will be with a native English speaker who will help you to improve your confidence and skills in the English language.

Malta is an English speaking country

In the heart of the Mediterranean sea, the small island of Malta is the perfect holiday destination to learn English. English is an official language and almost everyone you meet speaks English. The road signs and shop displays are almost all in English so you'll have excellent opportunity to be totally immersed in the English language everywhere you go.

The Maltese people are friendly so do not hesitate to walk up to a stranger in the street or shops and ask for information or help! The weather in Malta over winter is almost always sunny with temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees centigrade! Many tourists are still swimming in the sea in November & December!

A host family will be your guide

By living with an English speaking host family you will not feel alone, and the family will provide your breakfast and evening meal, giving you a lot of opportunity to converse with them in English. They will help you with any questions and information.

Host families are located within easy walking distance of the school or just a short bus ride a way.

Small classes and native English teachers

Alpha School is proud to offer students smaller classes and this allows you greater opportunity to participate in lessons. Students are mixed from various countries so together you use English as the common language. Our friendly teachers are all highly qualified and experienced and take great professional pride in helping students develop greater confidence and fluency in English.

The longer your full immersion programme in Malta is, the better your English will be when you leave. Normally 1 week is not enough and we recommend a minimum of 3 weeks to really start feeling the benefits of a full immersion programme.

•Alpha School of English is open all the year round except for public holidays. Almost all courses begin on a Monday and end on a Friday. It is possible to begin a course on any Monday during the prescribed period. Minimum course length is 1 week and the maximum length is 50 weeks. One lesson takes 45 minutes. Standard Courses are from 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and from 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Intensive Courses are from 1.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. or 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. All our lessons are held at the main Alpha School of English building in St. Paul's Bay. •One courses may be held elsewhere by special arrangement (for example at the student's place of accommodation). Please note that when there is only one student taking a group course, the number of lessons is reduced by a third. Course Availability: Courses are available all year round except for our shutdown over Christmas. Home Tuition courses are available during the shutdown period.

Terms & Conditions: Alpha School of English Malta

- Services must be paid in full 30 days before the course starts in order to complete the enrolment and secure a place in the course and/or accommodation.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 2 years of age or over

Cancellation policy

- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.
- If a student is absent for one or more weeks at a time, arrangements can be made for the course duration to be extended at no extra cost.

Refund policy

- Bookings may be cancelled up to 5 weeks prior to commencement of the course without penalty or fee
- If a course is cancelled more than 30 days before the start date, the following charges will apply:
- 1 week tuition
- If a course is cancelled between 14 and 30 days before the start date the following charges will apply:
- 1 week tuition
- 1 week accommodation
- registration fee
- 1 week tuition
- 1 week accommodation

Visa refusal

- 1- No refunds whatsoever are given for Visa refusal.

Other terms

A minimum of two students is required to offer a standard course of 20 lessons per week. When there is only one student in the class, the student is given individual tuition and the total number of lessons is reduced by a third. There is no change to the cost of the course.

Students who book a self-catering apartment or Host Family must also book an arrival airport transfer to ensure safe arrival at the accommodation.
